Michael Turner

Michael Turner is a Twin Cities–based photographer specializing in sports, editorial, and live event coverage. His imagery has been published by organizations including The Wall Street Journal, Fox Sports, Major League Baseball, MLB Network, CBS Sports, Yahoo Sports, The Guardian, and MSN. His work has also appeared across MLB’s digital and broadcast platforms, including MLB social channels, MLB.com, and national television broadcasts.

Michael currently works as a Live Content Creator for Major League Baseball and as a contract photographer for ZUMA Press. Through MLB, he produces live photo and video content on a game-by-game basis for league, team, and media distribution. Through ZUMA, he covers Minnesota sports and news as credentialed media, photographing events across Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, U.S. Soccer, International Ice Hockey Federation, Professional Women's Hockey, PGA Tour, Premier Lacrosse League, Minor League Baseball, and NCAA Division I athletics.

As a freelance photographer, Michael collaborates with professional sports franchises, universities, and businesses. Selected clients include Atlanta Dream, Northwestern University, St. Olaf College, and The New York Post.

His work has been recognized by the University Photographers' Association of America and featured in ZUMA’s “Picture of the Day,” “Picture of the Month,” and “Best Sports Images of 2025.” With a storytelling approach rooted in authenticity and emotion, Michael brings both technical precision and creative insight to every assignment
